I started this blog to provide a casual, recreational level of fantasy NASCAR advice and discussion. I've been playing these contests for a number of years and am annoyed by lineup sellers and groups of players using the same lineup. I'm hoping to give the casual player some help in building solid lineups that can beat that annoying crowd most of the time. I'm not a "tout" and don't do this for a living, so proceed accordingly. I hope you enjoy the discussion here and Good Luck!
One last plate track race for the year. We're obviously using the normal plate track strategy of using guys starting in the back. I think we'll see a pretty popular strategy of using Brendan Gaughan, Justin Haley and then four guys from the group starting 26-32. Could also be Gaughan and five from that group. But Haley just won Saturday's Xfinity race, so might boost his popularity even though there is no carry over effect whatsoever.
So let's take a look at each of those drivers:

We have our last superspeedway races this weekend. These races tend to have several large wrecks that take out chunks of the field. We usually see 10+ cars/trucks not finish the race and it's really hard to predict which those will be. So, the safest (and most common) approach for cash games is to play guys starting far back in the field. Let's look at each series to figure out where our driver pool should come from:
Trucks I'm looking mostly from 24th on back for this one. It is a cutoff race and two drivers will be eliminated from the playoffs on Saturday. We'll probably see some portions of calm, single file racing, but the stage endings and race ending will probably get wild. As a result, I'm guessing we see at least 2-3 major incidents. One thing I'm struggling with is that some of the guys starting in the way, way back have some serious reliability issues. Guys like Bryan Dauzat, Robby Lyons, Norm Benning and Dawsom Cram are all wild cards. They are small teams who probably haven't been able to afford much work on the trucks, so there are serious reliability concerns.
